This preamp generates pretty sweet creamy distortion . I'll have a new sound sample of this up shortly. The other sample is the 6AU6A pentode singin' away. And that's the CLEAN channel, LOL! I only needed to use shielded cable for the output to the PI. The amp is very quiet due to the absence of dozens of little antenna wires a-la BF/SF Fenders. But the cathode-biased EL34's give this amp a huge bounce and organic liveliness like an overgrown 5E3.
